Yep, I suck.  :-)  That should tell you the demenor of this report gentlemen.
:-)  ::sigh::  Oh well.  It was my first Regionals, so I have a year to get
better despite knowing I should have done better than I did.  I guess the
Force just wasn't with me that day.
Anyway, this is what I played.

Board:
1 Cremate
1 Tsabo's Web
2 Dromar's Charm
2 Tsabo's Decree
3 Chill
3 Exil
3 Mageta, The Lion (his card was great)

There are 320 ppl in attendance, 9 rounds of swiss... LONG day.  Tourney also
started an hour late.
Round 1, table 148 (after a repair): John Chabot, Star City dude playing R/B
MachineHead/Control
Wow, first round and I play an opponent who's relatively well known.
Game 1: First four turns we lay lands.  He slips a Blazing Spector through
which has the pleasure of dying to a Dromar's Charm after dealing 4 dmg.  We
lay some more land; I get a Nether Spirit and start my damage dealing.  I get
to Dominate his second Spector and begin big time beats.  He Seals it.  Then
a Pyre Zombie starts dealing some dmg.  I stabilize at 2 life while Nether
Spirit goes all the way.  1-0
Game 2: I draw absolutely nothing and he just rides a Pyre Zombie I can't
really stop all the way home. 1-1
Game 3: The game was mine from the start.  He gets me to 14 when Nether
Spirit start pecking away his life.  I play a Dromar a few minutes before
time is called and get him to 1 life on turn 5.  :-(  Draw.  1-1-1.
Games: 1-1-1
Matched 0-0-1

Round 2, table 79: Russel playing what he calls Purple Hippo deck.  Cool guy.
:-)
Game 1: He basically draws more countermagic than I do, so I can't stop the
flying hippo. 0-1
Game 2:  See above.  However, he added Millstone and Blinding Angel to the
mix.  Both games took about 20 minutes and I gave a good fight, but couldn't
stop the power of the Hippo.
Games 1-2-1
Matches: 0-1-1
Round 3, table 117: Creed, fellow TJ's guy playing Treva.dec (w/ Hippos)
Game 1: I know what he's playing because I just sat two tables away from him.
That, and half of TJ's went with the Treva/Hippo deck.  He basically played
a lot of mana... nothing else he really did mattered as Nether Spirit, then
Dromar beat him to death.  I end the game at 25 life!
Game 2: I side out Nether Spirit, so his Exiles and Last Breaths are useless
against Mageta.  I counter his key threats and D.Blow the Millstones while
Mageta roars away his life.  I win.
Games 3-2-1
Matches: 1-1-1
Round 4. table 79 (again!); PJ played Skies with white for Absorb
Game 1: He plays an early Rishadan Airship, to my surprise, which I Dominate
and start sending at him until he Wash Out's blue and gets it back... then I
Dominate it again and beat him down.
Game 2: More of the same, but he gets me to lower life with the blasted Air
Elemental until Dromar smiles and laughs at him.  He double blocks, the
played another Airships which gets Wrathed away by Mageta, which then comes
in for the killing blow.
Games 5-2-1
Matches: 2-1-1
This is where my deck no longer decided to perform well and just decides its
gonna smile and laugh at me instead.
Round 5, table 51; Pete playing NetherHaups
I think he shuffled my deck funny, as both games I had to mulligan 'cause I
only drew 1 land opening hand.  But had no way to prove it.
Game 1: Nether Spirit goes all the way, especially after a well-time
Obliterate.
Game 2: More of the same, he Cremates my Spirit and Rages me for 10 turn 5 or
6, then Jokulhaups' turn like 8 for the win, basically.
Games: 5-4-1
Matches 2-2-1
So no T8 for me, but I plan on still playing for raitings.  No such luck.
Round 6, table 62; Adam playing Eye-Go.  Cool guy, I enjoyed playing him even
though I lost.
Game 1: Stupid Eye ball thing... smashes me.  Nothing I did or drew seemed to
matter.
Game 2: See game 1.
Ugh... not looking good...
Games: 5-6-1
Matches: 2-3-1 (my States record)
Round 7, table 55; my friend Evan... played Invisible.dec
He never showed up.  Turns out he was out getting dinner with some buddies
and forgot to drop or lost track of time.  Thanks for the free win Evan!  :-)
Mize for me.  In fact, everyone around me too (tables 54 to 56) didn't have
an opponent.  :-)  So I end up meeting and playing the girl at the table next
to me, beating her, but having fun.  :-)
Games 7-6-1
Matches: 3-3-1
Round 8, table 35; Karl playing a Junk/Red Zone hybrid
Nothing personal against Karl, but I should have won... I could tell he
hadn't been playing very long and didn't know that much.  However, drawing
only one white source of mana so you can't Wrath away the board for the win
game 1 and 2 is a big blow to your ego.  So I drop.

So I finish 69th place, 3-4-1 with 10 match points.  I watch a few of the
people in round 9 play fighting for top 8 while flirting with the girl I met
the previous round before.  Then proceed to leave before I faith from lack of
sleep.
I suppose I shouldn't expect amazing results my first Regionals, but I
know I should have done better.  ::sigh::  What can ya do?

Props:
Me for staying awake.
Kim for being really cool and cute to boot.
Mike for going 5-2-2 his first Regionals.
John, Russel, PJ, Adam, Creed, Karl for all being cool opponents and a
pleasure to play against.

Slops:
Me for not doing as well as I should have.
My deck for pooping out on me round 5, 6, and 8.
Me for only getting an hour of sleep.  D'oh!

Till next time...
